It is a sad truth that horses all over the world are slaughtered for their meat. 

Our American horses, both domestic and wild, are sent across the borders to Mexico and Canada everyday! Many people are unaware that horse slaughter still exists and if they are, do not understand what these beautiful, soulful and valiant animals suffer through in the process. 

We must work together to educate others and change the fate of our horses. The greatest way we can work to divert horses from slaughter is to stop them from becoming available to the kill buyers in the first place. Irresponsible horse breeding is a large factor in the availability of excess horses to slaughter. *to be continued*
