Why are we not getting angry enough to end the atrocities horses face every single day! It starts with ALL of us working together.
Horses are mankind's companions, like our dogs and cats, but horses charged into battle, carried us into unknown places, traversed treacherous terrain, worked the land and fed our minds and souls. Even though horses are no longer required for everyday travel, farming, war, and more, they still give to us something that is truly special.
We can all work together to give them the lives they deserve and to prevent future generations of horses from suffering. We can do this by creating awareness to the issue, showing people what horses do for us today, stopping the over production of "equine industry byproducts". There needs to be more financial support options for horses who need to be given a safe end of life. Easier access to training for "problem horses" sanctuary for those who need somewhere to live out their lives in peace. Temporary financial assistance for those who have run into a crisis of some kind and their horses are at risk of losing a home. Make Equine sports more practical and affordable for youth involvement and truly give horses a new purpose in life as their previous historical purposes have practically faded away... other than within typically very exclusive and club like community (in most cases).

ANYONE can help a horse. Even with the smallest of donations whether it be money, time, equipment and supplies. Every little bit counts in the great picture of efforts these animals require.
